Kwara Sports Commission Dissolves Sport Associations

The Kwara State Sports Commission has announced the immediate dissolution of all sports associations in the state. A statement signed by the Commission’s Press Secretary, Saheed Abdullahi, in Ilorin, said the decision was approved at the board’s sitting on September 12, 2025.

According to the Commission, the move is aimed at bringing in new, committed, and passionate members while retaining active ones for more effective service delivery.

Affected members have been directed to hand over all documents, records, and materials of their associations to the secretaries as part of the dissolution process.

The Commission expressed appreciation to former members for their support and contributions, urging them to continue to cooperate with the Commission whenever called upon.
