WAEC Extends Registration Deadline for Private Candidates in 2025 CB-WASSCE

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has extended the registration deadline for the 2025 Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for private candidates to September 19, 2025, from the original deadline of September 5. The extension was announced on WAEC’s official X account, encouraging prospective candidates to register before the new deadline. Despite the extension, there remains a general skepticism about the shift from manual to digital applications for WAEC examinations.
