Zelensky Calls for Joint Air Defence After Russia Targets Poland with Drone Attacks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, on Wednesday called for a common air defence system with European allies following overnight Russian drone attacks that violated Poland’s airspace, which Poland said it successfully repelled. Zelensky accused Russia of “deliberately targeting” Poland, calling the incident a dangerous escalation and a “deliberate” act to humiliate the NATO and EU member. He urged Kyiv’s partners to respond strongly and emphasized the need for a combined Ukraine-Europe air defence shield to counter ongoing drone and missile attacks
