Tyson, Mayweather Agree to Exhibition Fight in 2026

September 5, 2025

Boxing legends Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather have reached a deal to face each other in an exhibition bout scheduled for spring 2026, promoter CSI Sports announced on Thursday.

Details of the fight, including the exact date and venue, have not yet been disclosed. The matchup will see heavyweight great Tyson, 59, take on Mayweather, 48, the former multi-weight champion who retired undefeated in 2017.

Tyson, who compiled a professional record of 50 wins and 7 losses with 44 knockouts, was widely regarded as one of the most feared heavyweights of his era. He last fought in November 2024 in Arlington, Texas, where he suffered a one-sided defeat to YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul before a crowd of 70,000 fans.

Mayweather, a five-division world champion with a perfect 50-0 record, has stayed active through exhibition matches since his retirement. His most recent appearance was in August 2024, when he defeated John Gotti III in Mexico.

Promoter CSI Sports described the Tyson–Mayweather clash as a landmark event in boxing’s new era of crossover and exhibition fights, promising global interest in the unlikely pairing of two of the sport’s biggest names.
