El-Rufai Files Fresh N10 Billion Suit Against ICPC Over Family Access

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has filed a fresh N10 billion lawsuit against the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission over alleged restrictions on his family members visiting him in custody. The suit, filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja, seeks to enforce what El-Rufai says are his fundamental rights while in detention. He alleged that ICPC officials prevented his wife, Aichatou Asabe, and son, Abba El-Rufai, from visiting him and physically restrained and intimidated them during an incident on July 7.
