Jordan Arrests Three Suspects Over Deadly Church Attack
Jordanian security forces have arrested three suspects in connection with a shooting at a Greek Orthodox church in the Karak region that killed at least nine people and injured more than 40 others during a funeral service. The country’s Public Security Directorate said the suspects were tracked to an abandoned house near the attack site, where they refused to surrender and exchanged gunfire with security forces. All three sustained serious injuries, while no casualties were reported among security personnel. Firearms and ammunition were recovered from the scene, and Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya said the suspects were Jordanian nationals, with no indications of links to outside groups.
