Police Rescue Kidnap Victim, Arrest Suspected Collaborator in Kwara

The Kwara State Police Command has rescued a 26-year-old kidnap victim and arrested a suspected collaborator linked to the gang responsible for her abduction during an attack on Wande Community in Ifelodun Local Government Area. The development was announced by the Commissioner of Police, Ojo Adekimi, on Friday, who said the victim was kidnapped on July 15 while her father, the Baale of Wande, sustained gunshot injuries after attempting to resist the attackers. Adekimi said intelligence-led investigations led to the arrest of the suspect, identified as Aliyu Mohammed, and the analysis of communication channels used by the kidnappers during ransom negotiations. He added that the operation resulted in the safe rescue of the victim, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the criminal syndicate still at large.
