Eid al-Adha: NOA DG Calls for Sacrifice, Compassion and National Togetherness

The National Orientation Agency has urged Nigerians to use the Eid al-Adha season to strengthen faith, patriotism, and national unity.

In a statement on Thursday, NOA Director-General Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu said the celebration’s lessons of sacrifice, discipline, and compassion are vital for Nigeria’s growth and stability. He called on Muslims to emulate Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion by supporting the less privileged through acts of kindness and charity.

Issa-Onilu also appealed for tolerance and dialogue to avoid actions that threaten public peace, and asked community, religious, and youth leaders to support government efforts toward civic responsibility and social harmony. He reaffirmed NOA’s commitment to public enlightenment campaigns promoting patriotism and citizen participation, and wished Muslims a peaceful Eid al-Adha.
