FG Opens Applications for TVET 2.0 Skills Training Programme
The Federal Government has opened applications for the second phase of its Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET 2.0) programme aimed at equipping Nigerians with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship.
The initiative, led by the Federal Ministry of Education, is part of efforts to reduce youth unemployment and strengthen the country’s technical workforce.
Interested applicants are encouraged to register through the official portal, tvet.education.gov.ng, where various vocational training opportunities are available across multiple sectors.
Officials say the programme is designed to provide participants with industry-relevant skills, certification, and support to enable them become self-reliant or secure jobs.
The TVET 2.0 initiative also aligns with the government’s broader education reform agenda, which focuses on practical learning and workforce readiness.
Stakeholders in the education sector have continued to stress the importance of vocational training in addressing unemployment among young Nigerians.
Applicants are advised to complete their registration early, as the programme is expected to attract wide participation nationwide.
