Bill, Hillary Clinton to Testify in US House Epstein Probe

February 3, 2026

Former US President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will testify before the US House of Representatives as part of an investigation into the handling of cases linked to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to a spokesperson for the ex-president. Their decision follows moves by the House Rules Committee to advance contempt proceedings over alleged failure to comply with subpoenas, a vote that was later suspended after the couple agreed to appear. The probe comes amid renewed controversy surrounding the release of Epstein-related investigative files by the Justice Department, some of which were found to contain unredacted personal details of alleged victims, prompting legal challenges and an emergency court hearing. While Republicans argue the Clintons’ past associations with Epstein justify in-person testimony under oath, Democrats accuse the inquiry of being politically motivated. Neither the Clintons nor former President Donald Trump, who also had past ties to Epstein, has been accused of criminal wrongdoing in connection with the case.
