Ifelodun LGA Extends School Resumption in Oro Ago by One Week
The Ifelodun Local Government Area has extended the resumption of school activities in the Oro Ago District by one week to allow for enhanced security clearance operations.
According to a statement issued on Sunday, schools in Oro Ago District will now resume on Monday, February 9, 2026, while schools in other parts of the local government resumed on Monday, February 2.
The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Area, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, explained that the extension was necessary to strengthen ongoing security operations in the area and consolidate recent security gains.
He appealed for the understanding and cooperation of residents, noting that the decision was part of broader efforts to sustain peace and safety within the district.
The statement was signed by Abdulquadri Jimba, Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Area, and dated February 1, 2026.
