SA Not Confirmed as 2026 Women’s AFCON Host, Minister Clarifies

The South African Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture, Gayton McKenzie, has confirmed that South Africa has not been confirmed as the new host of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, contrary to the remarks by Deputy Minister Peace Mabe, who indicated that South Africa was ready to replace Morocco as hosts of the tournament.
