Chelsea Set to Terminate Raheem Sterling’s Contract
Chelsea is reportedly preparing to terminate Raheem Sterling’s contract before the January transfer window closes, bringing an early end to the winger’s troubled spell at Stamford Bridge.
The 31-year-old has not featured for Chelsea’s first team in almost two years and has been frozen out since May 2024.
Sterling joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2022 on a five-year contract, but struggled to cement a regular place in the squad. If confirmed, the decision would mark the end of Sterling’s time at Chelsea, as the club continues its squad overhaul amid ongoing changes on and off the pitch.
