Miss Universe Executive Director Dismissed Over Treatment of Contestant
Nawat Itsaragrisil, the Executive Director of the Miss Universe Organisation, has been removed from the 2025 pageant following an incident involving Miss Mexico, Fatima Bosch.
During a pre-pageant ceremony in Thailand, Itsaragrisil reportedly called Bosch “dumb” for not posting promotional content on social media, prompting her to leave the event alongside contestants from other countries in protest.
In response, Miss Universe President Raúl Rocha announced that Itsaragrisil had been sanctioned and barred from participating in events for this year’s competition, emphasizing the organisation’s commitment to upholding respect and dignity for all contestants.
