Iyabo Ojo Warns Online Impersonators Over Fake Facebook Account
Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has issued a stern warning to individuals impersonating her on social media, particularly an unidentified person operating a fake Facebook account under her name.
The fraudulent account, which reportedly has more than 2.7 million followers, has been using her photos and identity to mislead the public and circulate false stories. The impersonator also runs a blog under the same name, creating confusion among fans and followers.
In a video shared on her verified Instagram page, the actress expressed frustration over the continued misuse of her identity and the spread of misinformation. She revealed that previous attempts to report the page to Facebook were unsuccessful after the operator changed the name to “Iyabo Ojo Lovers” to appear as a fan account.
Iyabo Ojo emphasized that she has no affiliation with the page and warned the impersonator to remove all content bearing her name and image or face legal consequences.
The actress further cautioned fans to verify her official social media accounts to avoid being misled by fake pages, noting that impersonation has become a widespread problem across multiple platforms.
