Ned Nwoko Denies Violence Claims, Blames Regina Daniels’ Behaviour on Substance Abuse
Senator Ned Nwoko (Delta North) has reacted to a viral video of his wife, actress Regina Daniels, alleging domestic violence, claiming that her recent actions stem from drug and alcohol abuse.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Nwoko described Regina’s behaviour as increasingly violent, alleging that she has attacked domestic staff and damaged property within his residence. He denied ever assaulting her, insisting that none of his other wives have made similar accusations.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety,” the statement read.
According to Nwoko, the actress has refused to continue rehabilitation, which he said is essential for her well-being. “I have set a clear condition for her to accept rehab in Asokoro or outside Nigeria, especially in Jordan, where she will not have access to drugs,” he added.
He further alleged that Regina had recently assaulted three staff members and destroyed property, including vehicles and windows. Nwoko also claimed she threatened to harm their resident nurse, whom he said had exposed her alleged substance abuse.
The senator maintained that the situation was being misrepresented online, emphasizing that he has “never been violent” and that the ongoing issue is rooted in Regina’s refusal to seek proper treatment.
The development comes amid social media reactions to a video showing the actress in distress, which sparked concerns about her safety and well-being.
