Gov AbdulRazaq Approves Recruitment of 2,600 Additional Forest Guards in Kwara

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has approved the recruitment of 2,600 additional forest guards as part of ongoing measures to tackle insecurity across the state.
The recruits will join 700 forest guards earlier engaged, who are currently working with security agencies at the frontline to combat banditry and restore peace, particularly in Kwara North and South.
According to the government, the fresh intakes will undergo advanced military training beginning this week. Their training will include the handling of sophisticated weapons as well as modern counter-insurgency strategies aimed at neutralizing threats in vulnerable communities.
The latest approval, officials say, underscores Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to strengthening security architecture and ensuring that criminal elements are flushed out to guarantee lasting peace in Kwara State
