Super Falcons and Brighton goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been ranked fourth in the Yachin Trophy category at the 2025 Ballon d’Or awards held in Paris, France. The Nigerian shot-stopper was among five players shortlisted for the prestigious individual honour, which was won by England and Chelsea’s Hannah Hampton. Germany’s Ann-Katrin Berger of Gotham FC placed second, while Spain and Barcelona’s Cata Coll finished third, and the Netherlands’ Daphne van Domselaar came fifth.
Nnadozie enjoyed a standout year for both club and country, helping Paris FC secure the Women’s French Cup before moving to Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer. On the international stage, she was instrumental in Nigeria’s record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations triumph in Morocco, where she was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
