Real Madrid Set to Boycott Ballon d’Or Ceremony for Second Year

Real Madrid are reportedly planning to boycott the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris for the second consecutive year, continuing their fallout over Vinicius Jr’s 2024 snub. Following last year’s shock absence after Manchester City’s Rodri was announced the winner, senior club officials including president Florentino Perez are expected to skip Monday’s event. The club’s frustration also extends to UEFA and France Football for overlooking them for the Club of the Year award. Meanwhile, PSG’s Ousmane Dembele leads betting odds for this year’s top prize after a record-breaking season, with Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah also in contention.
