Portable Calls Out Don Jazzy for Refusing to Help Him After N100M Donation to Verydarkman
Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has publicly called out renowned music producer Don Jazzy for allegedly refusing to help him after the producer donated N100 million to activist Verydarkman for his NGO.
Earlier, Verydarkman had announced that he received the generous donation from an anonymous benefactor, later confirmed by Don Jazzy to be the source of the large sum. This revelation sparked reactions across social media, with many praising the Mavin Records boss for his philanthropic gesture.
However, Portable was less than impressed. Taking to his Instagram page, the singer criticized Don Jazzy for not extending similar support to him, despite, according to Portable, using him as a motivational example for his new signees. He claimed that Don Jazzy had referenced his hardworking and “industrious spirit” to encourage his artists to follow in Portable’s footsteps.
In his fiery post, Portable stated that instead of using him as a source of inspiration, Don Jazzy should offer him financial assistance. He urged the producer to “stop using me to motivate your singers” and demanded that he be supported by asking for his account number.
The outspoken singer’s comments have stirred conversations online, with fans weighing in on whether Don Jazzy owes Portable any assistance or if the donation to Verydarkman was simply a personal choice.
