Ebenezer Obey Dismisses Death and Stroke Rumours
Veteran juju musician Ebenezer Obey has debunked fresh rumours of his death and claims that he suffered a stroke, describing the reports as false and misleading.
In a video posted on Instagram, Obey appeared with his two sons, singing to reassure fans of his good health. The clip was captioned, “Stop the rumours!!!! Ebenezer Obey is alive and well.”
The music legend, who travelled to London for personal care, expressed frustration over the false reports, which included fabricated images of coffins circulating online.
This is not the first time Obey has been targeted by such rumours. Similar claims surfaced in 2020 and again earlier in 2025.
The 83-year-old artist reaffirmed his faith while stressing that he remains in good health, insisting he has not suffered a stroke.
