Petrol Distributors Dissociate from NUPENG Strike

September 8, 2025

The Association of Distributors and Transporters of Petroleum Products on Monday distanced itself from the planned strike announced by the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers. The group’s National President, Alhaji Lawan Dan-Zaki, said they support Dangote Refinery’s new direct distribution of petroleum products and will continue operations without disruption.

Dan-Zaki called the strike unnecessary and praised Dangote’s initiative for improving supply stability, creating jobs, and boosting economic development. He assured the public and government that the association remains committed to ensuring smooth petroleum product distribution across Nigeria.
