CAF to Record First Profit in Eight Years Following Financial Reforms Under Motsepe

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is set to report a profit of $11.7 million for the first time in eight years, marking a major financial turnaround under President Patrice Motsepe. Once burdened by $140 million in debt, CAF has increased its annual revenue to $150 million through reforms focused on transparency, cost control, and improved commercial partnerships. Motsepe, who took office in 2021, said the surplus will be reinvested into grassroots development, infrastructure, and competitions to strengthen African football’s global competitiveness.
