Chief of Defence Staff Hails Finnish Court’s Six-Year Sentence for Terrorism Convict Simon Ekpa

Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has praised the Päijät-Häme District Court in Finland for sentencing Simon Ekpa to six years in prison for terrorism-related offences. Describing the ruling as a landmark victory, General Musa emphasized that the conviction sends a strong message that those who incite and fund terrorism will be held accountable, regardless of where they operate.
General Musa also commended Nigerian security and diplomatic agencies for their crucial role in securing the conviction through international cooperation. He urged Nigerians to stay vigilant and support security efforts to help dismantle terrorist networks and promote lasting peace across the country.
