August 28, 2025

The Kwara State Government has restated its commitment to improving education and empowerment for young girls through the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment, AGILE. At a sensitisation programme in Share, Ifelodun Local Government, the State Project Coordinator, Adeshina Salami, represented by Mrs. Omolola Ayanshola, explained that the “Second Chance Education” scheme is designed to ensure no girl or young woman is left behind, with free registration in state-owned vocational, literacy and numeracy centres. Traditional rulers and education stakeholders in the state also pledged their support for the initiative.
