September 2, 2026

Borno State Commissioner for Poverty Alleviation, Youths and Sports, Saina Buba, has apologised and withdrawn a controversial statement he made during a City Boy Movement engagement in Maiduguri. Buba said his comment was not intended to infringe on the rights of citizens, particularly opposition members, and stressed that it did not represent the position of the APC or Governor Babagana Zulum’s administration.
