Barcelona Sign Rodri From Manchester City for £65.4m

Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Spanish midfielder Rodri from Manchester City in a deal worth £65.4 million. The World Cup winner and former Ballon d’Or winner has signed a four-year contract with the LaLiga club after helping Manchester City win four Premier League titles and the Champions League. Barcelona had earlier seen bids of £40 million and £55 million rejected before reaching an agreement with City. Rodri will wear his preferred number 16 shirt at Barcelona, with Fermín López agreeing to switch to number seven following discussions between both players ahead of the 2026/27 season.
