Tinubu Congratulates Benin Republic President-Elect
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the President-elect of the Republic of Benin, Romuald Wadagni, following his victory in the country’s presidential election.
In a statement, Tinubu described the outcome as a clear reflection of the trust and confidence the Beninese people have placed in Wadagni’s leadership and his record of service as Minister of Finance.
The President also commended the peaceful conduct of the election, noting that it demonstrated the country’s commitment to democratic values.
Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s readiness to strengthen diplomatic, economic, and regional cooperation with the Republic of Benin under the incoming administration.
