Easter: NSCDC Deploys 365 Personnel to Secure Worship Centres in Zamfara
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Zamfara State has deployed 365 personnel across worship centres to ensure a safe and peaceful Easter celebration.
The deployment was announced in a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASCI Umar Mohammed, who said the operation is being led by State Commandant Sani Mustapha.
According to the command, officers have been strategically stationed across the 14 local government areas of the state to boost security at churches, protect lives, and safeguard critical infrastructure during the festive period.
Commandant Mustapha urged the personnel to remain disciplined, professional, and vigilant in carrying out their duties to maintain peace and order.
He also reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment under Commandant General Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi to protecting lives and property, warning that anyone involved in criminal activities would face the full weight of the law.
The command extended Easter greetings to Christians, calling for unity and praying for lasting peace in the country.
