Oke Ero LGA Declared Open-Defecation Free as FG Commends Kwara Government
The Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation has declared Oke Ero Local Government Area in Kwara State open-defecation free (ODF), marking it the first council in the state to attain this status.
Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Prof. Joseph Utsev, congratulated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on the achievement, noting that Oke Ero met all required criteria and has been added to Nigeria’s list of ODF local governments.
The minister highlighted that this milestone contributes to the national goal of ending open defecation by 2030 and expressed hope that other councils in Kwara State will soon achieve ODF status.
