Flying Eagles Beat Australia 3-1 in Pre-World Cup Friendly
Nigeria’s Flying Eagles secured a 3-1 victory over Australia in an international friendly played at the Complejo Deportivo Ruca Mapu in Santiago.
Tahir Maigana, Achichi Oseer, and Charles Agada were the goalscorers for the seven-time African champions, who put on an impressive performance ahead of the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The win comes after the team’s 1-1 draw against Chile in their first test game last weekend. Head coach Aliyu Zubairu’s side will now head into the tournament in a confident mood.
Nigeria will begin its World Cup campaign against Norway next Monday, with Colombia and Saudi Arabia also drawn in the same group. The competition kicks off in Chile on Saturday.
