NATO Warns Russia Over Escalating Airspace Violations on Eastern Flank

NATO on Tuesday condemned Russia’s recent “escalatory” airspace violations along its eastern flank, following an incident last week when Russian jets breached Estonian airspace for 12 minutes, prompting emergency NATO talks under Article 4. The alliance’s 32 member states warned Russia to halt these dangerous actions that risk miscalculation and said they will defend every inch of allied territory using all necessary military and non-military means. NATO pointed to recent drone incursions over Poland and other eastern members, saying it will continue to support Ukraine as tensions rise along the alliance’s borders amid fears of the Ukraine conflict spilling over.
