Trump Campaign Raises 53 Million Dollars After Conviction, Claims Verdict Galvanized Support
Donald Trump’s campaign announced on Friday that it had amassed nearly fifty-three million dollars in online small-dollar donations following his conviction in his New York hush money trial, boasting that the verdict had ignited unprecedented support for the former president.
The campaign hailed the record-breaking fundraising haul, stating that it equated to over two million dollars raised per hour.
Senior campaign aides, Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles, attributed more than a third of the total funds to new donors, describing it as an “outpouring of support from patriots across our country.”
In statements released by the campaign, LaCivita and Wiles characterized the Thursday court decision as a “sham trial verdict” and highlighted the overwhelming response from small-dollar donors despite temporary online delays due to high traffic.
“Crooked Joe Biden and the Democrats with their election interference political witch hunt have awakened the MAGA movement like never before,” LaCivita and Wiles said.
As of Friday evening, the total amount raised had surged to a staggering fifty-two point eight million dollars.
