Senate Launches Probe into Nigeria’s Railway Woes

The Senate has commenced a comprehensive investigation into the deteriorating state of Nigeria’s railway services, following concerns that trains operating on the Abuja–Kaduna route now move at extremely slow speeds. The probe was announced on Thursday by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during the inauguration of an ad hoc committee mandated to examine the operations of the railway sector nationwide.
