Four Rescued from Abuja Building Collapse, Clearance Operations Underway

July 13, 2024

Four individuals have been successfully rescued following the collapse of a two-storey residential apartment in Kubwa, Bwari Area Council, Abuja on Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 7am, trapping several people under the rubble.

Emergency responders, including teams from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), police, and the Federal Capital Territory Development Control, swiftly mobilized to the scene to conduct rescue operations.

This incident in Kubwa, follows closely after a tragic school building collapse in Plateau State, where 22 lives were lost, and another building collapse in Garki, Abuja, just eleven days prior.
