Zelensky Calls for Tough Sanctions After Deadly Kyiv Strikes

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for tougher international sanctions on Russia after overnight missile and drone attacks killed at least 18 people, including four children, in Kyiv and other regions. Officials said more than 600 projectiles were launched, with most intercepted, but damage was reported across multiple sites, including homes and schools. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko described it as “a terrible night” for the capital, while Zelenskyy said the strikes showed Moscow’s rejection of diplomacy in favor of continued bloodshed.
