Tinubu, Leaders Celebrate First Lady Oluremi at 65

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday paid glowing tribute to his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as she marked her 65th birthday, describing her as his confidant, counsellor, and unwavering anchor through decades of political and personal trials.
In a heartfelt message, the President hailed the First Lady’s “quiet strength and enduring grace,” noting that Nigeria owes her more than many will ever know for her sacrifices and contributions to both family and national development.
Vice President Kashim Shettima also praised Mrs. Tinubu as “an inestimable mother of the nation,” whose compassion and Renewed Hope Initiative have positively impacted millions of Nigerians. His wife, Nana Shettima, described the celebrant as a sister, mentor, and friend whose trailblazing role continues to inspire women and youth across the country.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Senator Tokunbo Abiru, and several governors also extolled Mrs. Tinubu’s virtues. They commended her commitment to women’s empowerment, youth development, education, and humanitarian service.
Other tributes came from Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, who called her a “beacon of hope,” Kogi Governor Usman Ododo, who described her life as one of “impact and devotion to God,” and Plateau Governor Caleb Mutfwang, who hailed her as a unifier and strategic thinker.
Niger State Governor Mohammed Bago and House of Representatives Speaker’s wife, Fatima Tajudeen, also celebrated the First Lady’s life of service, with Mrs. Tajudeen highlighting the launch of the Oluremi @ 65 Education Fund as further proof of her enduring commitment to the younger generation.
