Tinubu Appoints New PTDF Boss, Renews TCN MD’s Tenure
President Bola Tinubu has named Professor Shu’aib Aliyu as the new Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, replacing Ahmed Aminu, who resigned to pursue the 2027 Adamawa governorship election.
In addition, the President has renewed the appointment of Sule Abdulaziz as Managing Director and CEO of the Transmission Company of Nigeria for a second and final term.
The Presidency highlighted Aliyu’s extensive experience in research and institutional leadership, while noting that Abdulaziz has improved grid stability, expanded transmission capacity, and advanced regional electricity integration.
President Tinubu urged both officials to discharge their duties with diligence and integrity in line with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
