Suspect in Charlie Kirk Killing Taken into Custody After Manhunt, Says Trump

US President Donald Trump announced that the suspect in the fatal shooting of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk has been apprehended following a large-scale manhunt involving multiple law enforcement agencies. The suspect was reportedly handed over by a person of faith to a US Marshal and is now in police custody. Kirk, 31, was shot once in the neck during a university event in Utah. Authorities believe the shooter fired from a rooftop about 200 yards away, using a high-powered rifle. Utah’s governor has confirmed the state will seek the death penalty in the case.
