Sinners, The Studio Dominate 2026 SAG-AFTRA Actor Awards
Writer-director Ryan Coogler’s film Sinners emerged as the biggest winner at the 32nd Annual Actor Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA, clinching top honours in the motion picture categories.
The ceremony, held Sunday night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and hosted by Kristen Bell, streamed exclusively on Netflix.
Sinners, which had earlier dominated the NAACP Image Awards, won Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. The film’s lead star, Michael B. Jordan, also secured the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role.
Despite entering the night with a record seven nominations, One Battle After Another, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, claimed only one award. Sean Penn won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in the film.
In other motion picture categories, Jessie Buckley won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Hamnet. At the same time, Amy Madigan earned the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for Weapons.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning won Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture.
In television categories, The Pitt led the drama field, winning Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Noah Wyle was recognised with the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for his role in the show.
Keri Russell won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role in The Diplomat.
Comedy series The Studio dominated its category with three wins, including Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Seth Rogen won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series, while the late Catherine O’Hara was posthumously honoured with Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series.
In limited series and television movie categories, Owen Cooper won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series for Adolescence, while Michelle Williams claimed the female acting honour for Dying for Sex.
The Last of Us secured the award for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series.
Screen icon Harrison Ford was presented with the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award during the ceremony, with tributes led by actor Woody Harrelson.
The 2026 Actor Awards marked another major milestone in the awards season, with strong showings from both film and television productions ahead of the Oscars.
