President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to attend the Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival in Kebbi State, which will hold from February 11 to 14. The announcement was made by Governor Nasir Idris while receiving political defectors from other parties who recently joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jega Local Government Area.
Governor Idris urged residents to welcome the President and highlighted that the festival will attract participants from across Nigeria and beyond. He also commended the newcomers for their political foresight, assuring them of equal treatment within the APC, and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to continuing development projects across the state.
The 61st edition of the Argungu Festival marks its return after being postponed in 2025 to allow for infrastructural improvements in the host communities.
