President Tinubu Orders Probe into Arise TV Anchor’s Death

President Bola Tinubu has directed security agencies to launch a swift and thorough investigation into the death of Arise News anchor, Ms Somtochukwu ‘Sommie’ Maduagwu, who was killed during a robbery attack at her residence in Katampe, Abuja. Describing her death as tragic and condemnable, the President assured that the perpetrators would be brought to justice and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to citizens’ safety.

First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu also mourned the journalist’s passing, calling it a painful and unfortunate loss of a young, brilliant professional. She extended her condolences to Maduagwu’s family, and colleagues, expressing hope that justice would be swiftly served.
