President Tinubu Mourns Passing of Dr. Tagwai Sambo, Chief of Moroa
President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences to the Asholyio people of Southern Kaduna, Kaduna State, following the passing of His Highness, Dr. Tagwai Sambo, the Chief of Moroa.
The Presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, conveyed that the late traditional ruler served for an impressive 58 years on the throne, marking him as one of the longest-reigning traditional leaders in Northern Nigeria.
Moreover, Dr. Tagwai Sambo was not only known for his long tenure but also admired for his significant contributions to education and community development as he notably played a pivotal role in the establishment of Kaduna State University and served as its pioneer Chancellor.
“President Tinubu pays tribute to a lifetime of selfless service, dedicated to education, peacebuilding, and community development.
“The President prays for the repose of the soul of the departed and comfort for the family and those whose lives the Royal Father touched,” he added.
Furthermore, in honoring the legacy of Dr. Sambo, President Tinubu acknowledged the late monarch’s lifelong dedication to fostering peace and advancing education in his community while extending prayers for the peaceful rest of his soul and offered solace to the bereaved family and all those whose lives were touched by the late Chief of Moroa.
