Portable Criticizes Governor Dapo Abiodun Over Poor Road Conditions in Ogun State

Prominent Nigerian artist Portable has publicly criticized Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, highlighting the poor state of roads in the region.
Using the Insta-stories section of his official Instagram profile, Portable shared a video of himself navigating a rough road in Sango-Ota, nearly experiencing a life-threatening incident while driving his new Range Rover.
The incident occurred shortly after Portable, the “Zazoo Zeh” hitmaker, returned to Nigeria following a tour in the United States.
In the video, Portable expressed his frustration with Governor Dapo Abiodun for neglecting the deteriorating roads in Sango-Ota and other parts of Ogun State.
“Many people in Ogun State own automobiles but are unable to use them due to the state’s poor roads,” Portable stated, contrasting the condition of roads in Nigeria with those in the United States, where he observed all roads to be in good condition.
Portable went further to advise Governor Abiodun to address the road issues urgently. He suggested that if the governor is unable to fix the roads, he should consider resigning and allowing his preferred candidate, Senator Yayi, to take over.
In a dramatic scene from the video, area boys were seen assisting Portable in pushing his damaged Range Rover, which had been affected by the rough road conditions in Sango-Ota.
“Nigerians come and help me, I just finally arrived back in Nigeria from America and 2 seconds after, the bad road in Ogun State wants to send me to my early grave,” Portable lamented.
The artist’s public outcry has sparked conversations among his followers and residents of Ogun State, drawing attention to the pressing issue of infrastructure development in the area.
