Over 70 Kidnapped Victims Rescued in Niger State, Speaker Commends Security Agencies
The Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Abdulmalik Sarkin-Daji, has commended the Nigerian Army, the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agencies for successful operations against bandits in Mariga Local Government Area and parts of the Niger North senatorial district.
According to a statement issued by the Assembly’s acting head of the Directorate of Media and Public Relations, Mairo Adamu Mani, the Speaker described the operations as a major breakthrough in the fight against insecurity in the state. He highlighted that the professionalism, bravery, and commitment of security personnel led to the deaths of several bandits, the arrest of others, and the rescue of over 70 kidnapped persons. The Speaker also praised the continuous sacrifices of special forces and DSS operatives in protecting lives and property across Niger State and Nigeria. He acknowledged the risks involved in such operations and expressed appreciation to officers and men who risk their lives to ensure peace, stability, and citizen safety.
