NSCDC Highlights Community’s Role in Providing Enabling Environment for Officers in Kwara

The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has emphasized the community’s dedication to creating a supportive and enabling environment for its officers.

This assurance was given during the commissioning of an outpost donated by the Ilupeju community on Friday, June 28, 2024.

At the event, the Kwara State Commandant of the NSCDC, Dr. Umar JG Mohammed, represented by ACC Awoyale Olusoji Ayodeji, lauded the community for its unwavering support and cooperation.

“In a continued effort to enhance security and reduce crime at the grassroots level, the Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Umar JG Mohammed, represented by ACC Awoyale Olusoji Ayodeji, commissioned an outpost donated by the Ilupeju community on Friday, June 28, 2024,” the statement read.

While commissioning the outpost, ACC Awoyale Olusoji Ayodeji appreciated and acknowledged the collaborative spirit and hard work of the community members, emphasizing that their support and commitment were instrumental in bringing the project to fruition.

“He assured them that the NSCDC remains resolute in its commitment to safeguarding lives and properties, emphasizing that the new outpost will significantly assist the corps in preventing crime in the area.”

The Oni Ilupeju of Ilupeju, HRM Alhaji Momodu Akande, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the state commandant for approving the construction of the outpost.

He reiterated the community’s unwavering commitment to providing a supportive and enabling environment for the officers who will be stationed there, ensuring they have the necessary resources and cooperation to perform their duties effectively.

ASC 1 Ayoola Michael Shola, the CDPRO of the Kwara State Command, also praised the initiative, noting that the new outpost would enhance the NSCDC’s operational efficiency in the area.

The event concluded with a renewed pledge from both the NSCDC and the community to work hand in hand in addressing security challenges and promoting the well-being of the residents of Kwara State.
