Nollywood Actress Faithia Balogun Loses Mother on Eve of 55th Birthday

Lagos – Nollywood actress Faithia Williams-Balogun has announced the death of her mother, revealing that the loss occurred on the eve of her 55th birthday celebration and was kept from her until after the event.

The actress disclosed the development in an emotional Instagram post on Monday, explaining that her mother passed away a day before the star-studded birthday ceremony held on Thursday, February 5. She said she was unaware of the tragedy at the time of the celebration.

Faithia described her late mother as a major source of support in her life, noting that she is still coming to terms with the loss. She added that the family has chosen to maintain privacy for now while appealing to friends, colleagues, and fans for prayers and support.

She also stated that burial arrangements would be communicated at a later date. Since the announcement, tributes and condolence messages have continued to pour in from members of the entertainment industry and fans across the country.
