NOA DG Reaffirms Nigeria’s Drive for Civic Reorientation at London Forum

The Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, has reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to civic reorientation as a foundation for national development. Speaking at the 2025 African Investment Showcase in London, he stressed that attitudinal change, value reawakening, and responsible citizenship are critical to achieving the country’s long-term goals.
Issa-Onilu urged Africa to rethink its investment focus beyond infrastructure and capital inflows to include stronger institutions and public trust. He highlighted Nigeria’s ongoing efforts under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, including the Nigerian Identity Project, designed to redefine national values and civic responsibility in the 21st century. The event drew global leaders, including the Prime Minister of the Bahamas, officials from NEXIM Bank, the Commonwealth Secretariat, and stakeholders from the UK, Japan, and the Caribbean.
