No court ruling can keep me off 2027 ballot — Atiku

November 6, 2026

Former Vice-President and Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Atiku Abubakar has vowed to remain in the 2027 presidential race despite the recent Federal High Court judgment affecting the leadership of the ADC and its presidential candidacy. Atiku, in a statement issued on Friday in Sokoto, insisted that no court ruling, political pressure or intimidation would force him to withdraw from the contest. He maintained that Nigerians must be allowed to determine their political future through a free, fair and credible election. “Let me be clear to every Nigerian who has stood with us: I am in this race. I am not going anywhere. We will be on the ballot,” he declared.
