NLC Demands End to Alleged Arrests of Osun LG Workers

January 6, 2026

The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Osun State, Christopher Arapasopo, has demanded an immediate end to the alleged arrests of local government workers across the state, warning that labour may take action if the situation persists. Arapasopo spoke on Monday following reports that between two and three workers were apprehended at Boluwaduro Local Government headquarters in Otan Ayegbaju and Egbedore Local Government Secretariat in Awo, shortly after workers resumed duty following an 11-month strike.
